The Met Gala 2019 exhibition theme was Camp: Notes On Fashion, in other words be as extra as possible. The Costume Institute Gala held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art or Met Gala, is fashions biggest fundraising event of the year. This fundraiser was established by publicist Eleanor Lambert to raise funds for the Met’s Costume Institute.
A-List celebrities come from all over to experience the coveted event donned in their custom themed looks. Tickets to this year’s Met Gala have raised another $5,000, coming in at $35,000 apiece. Vogue’s Editor In Chief, Anna Wintour has the final say over every invitation and attendee for the prestigious Met Gala. Anna Wintour has chaired the event since 1995 and enlists public figures to serve as co-chairs. This year her co-chairs include: Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Serena Williams, and Alessandro Michele.
