4 Stylish TV Stars Under 25
When it comes to our favorite TV shows, the show must be captivating, and keep us coming back. You know what else helps? Great Style! Yes, seeing a TV Show pull wardrobes off to perfection for the written character is always on the Snob Queens radar. What makes it even better is when it’s a beautiful black girl getting the same style shine as her European cast mates. Here are four young ladies Snob Queens sets its DVR for constantly!
Upon watching Star I wasn’t so sure I wanted to watch it, but there was drama, Queen Latifah, good music, and Lenny Kravitz’s TV daughter so of course I had to see where the rich black girl was going. I mean who gives up being the daughter of a rock star, Givenchy, Gucci, Balmain, Saint Laurent….(I could name designers forever) on daddy’s dime for some chicks she doesn’t even know?! Alexandra Crane(portrayed by Ryan Destiny) pulled it off she is not only bold, charismatic, tough, and driven, but she is stylish to boot! Her youthful, 90s, urban style always has us thinking of fashion and style in creative, sexy ways, to keep things fresh and modern. If you haven’t checked her out yet, you’re definitely missing out!
I was already a huge fan of Yara Shahidi when I binge watched Black-ish last year I knew I was going to faint over Tracee Ellis Ross’ style, what I wasn’t expecting was the style obsession I would nurture for her TV daughter Zoey Johnson. The cool, stylish, social butterfly would have her world flipped upside down in her spinoff show Grown-ish. Zoey is finally in college and everything she thought she knew she was so wrong about. One thing she wasn’t so wrong about, was her style. Zoey is a breath of fashion freshness every time she is on the screen. She just glows of black girl magic, from her natural curls, protective braided styles, head wraps, and winning streak when it comes to pulling off trend after trend; Grown-ish being played once a week is definitely not enough. This young star is just getting started and we can’t wait to see where her TV style takes us.
Last summer I saw this little show title Greenleaf on my Netflix account and I had been seeing social media posts about Greenleaf and how it was so good…so I gave it a try and now it’s set to record on my DVR because I cannot miss an episode. The style on this show is very upper-crust, very snobby, and snooty and I love it. I really enjoy seeing what Sophia Greenleaf(Played by Desiree Ross) is going to wear whenever she comes onscreen. She may come off as a weird choice to some, but she is absolutely perfect to add style diversity to this list. Sophia’s style is modest, class personified, and elegant. Instead of coming off as matronly or too mature, she looks young, fresh, sophisticated and fly. She doesn’t look too stuffy or nerdy she looks really cool and stylish, that’s why when she comes on screen I want to know what Sophia Greenleaf is wearing head to toe. On top of all of those things her character is graceful, mature, and sweet, I just love to see what’s to come from Sophia Greenleaf!
Tiana Brown played by Serayah McNeill came onto our screens in 2015 on Fox’s hit show Empire. Captivating us with her song and dance and romance with Hakeem Lyon she has kept me wondering what is Tiana going to wear next. Tiana is the relatable musician she gives us the air of Rihanna mixed with Beyonce. Her character is so on point, trendy, and a perfect style portrayal of a successful R&B singer in todays era. She changes up her hair, wears the latest trends to perfection, and she always gives off the Rihanna vibe when she comes on camera. You can definitely see the inspiration from other female musicians but it’s not overdone where she looks like a carbon copy. Tiana Brown is her own woman and she definitely has me wondering what she’s wearing all the time and checking my Instagram for a style update. Tiana is BOMB!
