Remember in January when Gucci released audition tapes featuring black models dancing and answering the question, “What does it mean to have soul?”
Well the product has finally arrived in the form of an ad campaign. Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2017 campaign “Soul Scene” which was inspired by the 1960s London, Northern Soul Movement and photographer Malick Sadibé’s Bamako, Mali nightlife images. The vibrant ad photographed by Glen Luchford features all black models and dancers and resulted in winning combination with Alessandro Michele’s bold collection.
