However, this season isn’t like any other September. This September black women dominate September issues and we couldn’t be prouder.
I remember when I began owning the fact I wanted a career in fashion versus anything else. I noticed there weren’t many black women on fashion covers and rarely any on the March and September Issues. This problem made me feel obligated to do something, but I didn’t know what yet little did I know I was planting the seed for Snob Queens. Above all I hope this step is a step forward and not a peace offering so people will stop talking about the lack of black representation in the fashion industry.
