All The Winter Nail Trends We Are Feeling This Season
Read Time: 3 minutesNail trends seem to change weekly. We go to the nail shop and we always want to try something fresh and different. It’s always nice to hear someone say they like your nails or want to know where you got them done. To keep you trendy and your nail designs in rotation we decided to drop a few winter nail trends to try these next couple of months.
French Manicure

Believe it or not, this ‘90s staple is back in full form! The glossy pink nails with a crisp white tip are classic and have come back in full form. If you are looking to make it a bit more current, opt for a colored tip instead and maybe add a little bling.
Glitter and Appliques

Think of this trend as accessorizing your manicure. It’s the easiest way to dress up your neutral base without overdoing it. The best part about glitter and appliqués is there is no nail art technique, nail tech, or nail salon requirement. All you need are bomb placement skills. Look for shimmering shades, bold colors, rhinestones, or tribal shapes to take your nails to the next level. It’ll be a winter design favorite and an excellent choice if you want to add a touch of luxury to your seasonal nails.
Long Extensions

Dramatic long nails are making their way back into the mainstream. They have always been a staple of mine but they are hitting the mainstream hard. A flattering, easy shape to choose with this look is squoval (not quite square, not quite oval) or coffin nails. The result is an effortless, classic feminine shape.
Matte Nails

A matte finish makes any old nail color look contemporary and chic without adding too much. An ultimate color shifter, it makes cream polishes look chalky, metallic shades look like steel, and pearl shades look suede. It is an all time favorite, nail year round because it gives you a nice base to play around with. However, if you tend to have dry or peeling cuticles, stick to shiny topcoats, because a matte manicures can shine an unwanted light on dry, peeling, red skin.
Nice and Neutral Nails

If you usually stick to a neutral color, then you can continue doing this in winter. Adding a fun flair with some of the above trends. Try adding a feature to one nail or a different color to make it festive and seasonal. This trend will look really elegant and fresh year round and offers multiple design options.
